The purpose of the ‘Bristol in Bloom’ initiative is to raise awareness and maximise the opportunities for improving the environment, also to bring flowers and colour to the City of Bristol ~ in partnership with communities in both the private and public sectors.

It strives to engender, and increase, pride of the city and care of the environment in all of its inhabitants.

In the year 1200 Bristol was a thriving mercantile town, with a population of nearly 2000; today the population is closer to 330,000. However we are lucky to still be surrounded by flora and fauna that brings the countryside into the heart of our city.
